On December 29th, YFI founder Andre Cronje (AC) tweeted that the new generation of “airdrops” such as SOS is very stupid.
2/x but because you said it would, people rallied it, made it succeed out of spite.

That out of the way, this new iteration of "airdrops" is beyond stupid. First $SOS, a governance token for opensea, with 0 rights to opensea, opensea could care less, your votes on $SOS would not
First of all, the SOS token used for OpenSea governance has 0 permissions for OpenSea, and OpenSea does not care.
The user’s vote through SOS will not force OpenSea to adopt anything.
It has 0 permissions in the literal sense, and the DAO used by GAS for ETH has 0 permissions on everything. What will even its KPI look like?
Real technology takes time, even much longer than the developers who built it thought. Stop voting with attention.
