Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin defended the ethereum network’s transition to PoS on Twitter on Tuesday, responding to arguments that an asset using such a consensus mechanism is a security.
“You can vote to change its properties, which proves it’s a security,” Nick Payton, executive editor of Swan Bitcoin, said on Tuesday. He concluded by saying “Love, Bitcoin” as an endorsement of the PoW consensus mechanism.
Vitalik Buterin refuted this claim, calling it an outright and outright lie, adding that PoS does not include voting on protocol parameters, nor does PoW.
