On October 23, the Bank of Israel started a CDBC pilot program. They may use Ethereum as the basic blockchain.
According to reports, the central bank used the blockchain to conduct the first experiment, but it has not yet confirmed whether Ethereum will actually be part of the plan. The Ethereum technology used for the trial is completely different from the main blockchain that supports the Ethereum cryptocurrency. The Bank of Israel tested the economic, legal, and technical aspects of CBDC during the pilot, and used technologies similar to those previously used by the central banks of Australia, Hong Kong, and Thailand.
