The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler said in an interview with Bloomberg this week that the securities regulator is working with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on cryptocurrency regulation.
Additionally, he said the SEC is “working hard with various cryptocurrency platforms, exchanges, lending platforms” to ensure investor protection.
Earlier news, the chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) said that the cryptocurrency cash market will benefit from more regulation from the CFTC, which needs more resources to regulate cryptocurrencies.
