Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has frozen more than $1.3 million in cryptocurrencies in a fraud investigation conducted over the past ten months.
Alvin Bragg explained that in the past 10 months alone, using our blockchain analysis expertise, our investigators, prosecutors and professional cryptocurrency analysts were able to locate and freeze over $1.3 million in stolen cryptocurrency .
In addition, $200,000 worth of cryptocurrency was also seized and is currently held in the district attorney’s account. Authorities say we will return the money to the victims of these scams while raising awareness against future fraud.
