On November 28th, the Premier League football team Manchester City is breaking off cooperation with cryptocurrency startup 3Key.
After the team announced the company as an “official regional partner for decentralized financial transaction analysis,” the two companies worked together in less than a week.
There are reports that Manchester City is concerned about the lag in 3Key’s online business. This may ultimately be because the company is classified as a “start-up company” and therefore is completely new to the British business community.
However, there are other things that will trigger some red flags. According to the official press release, some relevant 3Key executives do not have a “digital footprint”. In addition, since the establishment of the partnership between Manchester City and 3Key, two related websites have also been offline.
A spokesperson for the Manchester City Club explained in an interview: Manchester City conducts due diligence on all its partners.
Manchester City has announced a partnership with 3Key Technologies. However, the parties have not launched any specific products or services anywhere in the world. Due to the club’s interaction with 3Key Technologies in recent days, Manchester City is currently investigating 3Key Technologies further. Until all these investigations are satisfactorily resolved, the cooperative relationship between the two parties has been suspended.
