Lido Finance, a liquid equity protocol on Ethereum, has been upgraded to version v2. This upgrade allows users to withdraw Ethereum from the platform at a ratio of 1:1.
The new modular architecture design allows on-ramps to be developed for new node operators, from standalone stakers to DAOs and Distributed Validator Technology (DVT) clusters, which will create a more diverse validator ecosystem.
The vote to approve the upgrade was completed today at 1:15 PM ET. The upgrade comes on the heels of last month’s Shapella hard fork, which allowed staking validators to withdraw ether. Due to multiple security audits, Lido Finance needs an additional month to facilitate withdrawals.
