On February 17, it was reported that Hong Kong’s first meta-universe ETF, the Southern East British Dollar Universe Concept ETF, is scheduled to be listed on February 21, with a unit price of approximately HK$7.8 per share and a minimum investment threshold of HK$780. It is reported that the CSOP Metaverse Concept ETF aims to achieve long-term capital appreciation by mainly investing in companies that are directly or indirectly engaged in using innovative technologies to provide products or services that contribute to the development of the Metaverse.
The fund focuses on four key areas of the Metaverse, involving Metaverse infrastructure (including computing, network, access), Metaverse construction technology (including visualization, synchronization, communication, algorithms), Metaverse applications (including services, platforms), Metaverse content (including content creators, content distributors).
The metaverse concept portfolio constructed from the ETF shows that the top ten holdings are all large global technology companies and chip makers, including Meta, Roblox, Nvidia, Unity, Apple, Snap, AMD, Qualcomm, Sony, Tencent.
