The unreleased songs of British singer Ed Sheeran and American rapper Lil Uzi Vert have been stolen by hackers who sold the songs on the dark web for cryptocurrency, which resulted in £130,000 in illegal proceeds.
The case began in 2019 when a user named Spirdark stole 1,263 unreleased songs from 89 singers. During the investigation, the prosecution managed to locate the hacker Kwiatkowski by obtaining the email address of the encrypted currency account set up by Spirdark. And found the hacker’s method of stealing songs and the now confiscated bitcoins on the hacker’s hard drive.
