Gary Harmon, who stole 713 bitcoins from a Trezor wallet seized by the U.S. government, is expected to appear in federal court in Washington on Dec. 22 for a plea deal hearing.
He will plead guilty at this hearing, according to the latest court records. It is reported that Gary Harmon’s brother Larry Harmon served as the CEO of Bitcoin mixing services Coin Ninja and DropBit, and was arrested in 2020.
Prosecutors found that Gary Harmon made the withdrawals after recovering the wallet seed phrase and connecting to the associated wallet funds via the internet.
