Shares of popular video game chain GameStop (GME) rose about 13% in a day, as rumors circulated online about its partnership with Microsoft to develop NFT games.
As of the close on Feb. 8, GME was at $115.60 and held around that level in after-hours trading, according to TradingView. Twitter user “P_MackD” shared a photo earlier today that includes a compilation screenshot of what Immutable X and Microsoft executives crypto released about a major partnership with GameStop. Additionally, Yorke Rhodes III, head of Microsoft’s blockchain division, tagged Xbox, Microsoft, and GameStop in his tweet.
