Eigen Layer, the Ethereum re-staking market, released the V1 white paper, which describes the key ideas implemented by core developers in the upcoming first version of the protocol, including a list of potential Eigen Layer modules (e.g. MEV, sorting).
In addition, EigenLayer also launched the Eigen Layer Forum to focus on the three topics of Eigen Layer protocol, EigenDA development, and middleware development.
It is reported that Eigen Layer is a protocol built on top of Ethereum, which introduces the concept of re-pledging, allowing ETH to be re-pledged on the consensus layer.
Users who stake ETH can opt-in to the Eigen Layer smart contract to re-stake ETH and extend cryptoeconomic security to other applications on the network.
