On December 19th, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently held a private meeting with former Argentine President Mauricio Macri at an encryption event held in Buenos Aires. The event was organized by the web3 protocol The Graph to celebrate the first anniversary of the project’s mainnet launch.
According to a tweet published by Macri, the two discussed the opportunities presented by cryptocurrency and blockchain. He described Ethereum as one of the “most innovative” decentralized technologies of this century. In meetings with fintech and crypto entrepreneurs, Buterin praised Proof of Humanity, an identity verification system for “basic income for all” developed by Santiago Siri.
