ETF analyst James Seyffart said on social media that Valkyrie’s spot bitcoin ETF filing has been listed in the Federal Register.
The next date to watch is the Ark/21Shares resolution deadline of August 13, 2024, which analysts expect to be pushed back, though a decision in Grayscale’s lawsuit with the SEC could come before then.
Bitcoin ETF applications from BlackRock, Fidelity, WisdomTree, VanEck, Invesco, Bitwise are all listed in the Federal Register.
This marks the official start of the SEC’s formal review of the applications, which has 45 days to approve, deny or delay each application, which can be delayed by up to 240 days.
