CryptoPunks said on its official social media that Tiffany’s launch of a co-branded pendant for CryptoPunks holders is a good example of holders working with brands through IP licensing agreements. Its parent company, Yuga Labs, was not directly involved in the collaboration.
CryptoPunks also stated that the community will be able to use the Punks they own to create various types of content and derivatives, but not for illegal purposes or hate speech.
NFTs and intellectual property are linked, and all Punk IP rights will pass between owners, but the former owners of Punk may continue to use and monetize content they have created and published. However, Yuga Labs reserves the right to make changes when sharing the final license.
