On December 2nd, Coinbase will launch its own cloud service suite Coinbase Cloud. Aims to follow in the footsteps of e-commerce giant Amazon to expand new business areas.
In January of this year, the exchange announced that it would acquire Bison Trails, a leading blockchain infrastructure platform. The company’s co-founders Joe Lallouz and Aaron Henshaw will become the new heads of Coinbase Cloud.
In an interview with Forbes, Coinbase Chief Product Officer Surojit Chatterjee admitted. The company hopes to become the AWS of encryption and says that we are building the entire Coinbase Cloud product suite. You can think of it as an encrypted computing service to help developers build their applications faster.
Coinbase revealed that the Coinbase Cloud cloud platform currently has more than 30 billion U.S. dollars in assets, involving more than 25 agreements and approximately 60,000 nodes.
