News on October 21, NFT studio Candy Digital completed a US$100 million Series A financing with a valuation of US$1.5 billion. Insight Partners and SoftBank’s Vision Fund 2 jointly led the investment, Connect Ventures, Will Ventures, Gainels, Athletes Syndicate, and retired. Candy Digital plans to use the funds to expand its team to further expand its NFT business.
It is reported that Fanatics, a sports goods company, is the majority shareholder of Candy Digital. Candy Digital was co-founded by Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, Galaxy Digital founder and CEO Mike Novogratz, and investor and NFT entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk.
