The Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) recently launched eight Bitcoin– and Ethereum-based exchange-traded notes (ETNs). Manyu Moravenov, executive director of the BSE, said ETNs will allow investors to put funds into digital assets without the need to create and own crypto wallets and private keys.
At the same time, they will have access to cryptocurrency instruments that comply with regulatory requirements. The Bulgarian stock market agency explained that the cryptocurrency-based ETN trading is a continuation of the BSE’s long-term cooperation with Deutsche Börse and market maker Tradegate AG.
The announcement states that this will ensure the liquidity of the cryptocurrency instrument. The product is denominated in euros and trades during regular trading hours.
