On November 5th, a draft bill designed to allow Brazilian workers to pay wages in Bitcoin was submitted to the country’s House of Representatives.
The author of the bill is Brazil’s Vice President Luizão Goulart, who wrote: “At the height of the financial crisis in 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto proposed in their white paper a ‘digital currency system’ that does not require the trust of financial institutions.
This bill is in line with the modernity of BTC and aims to determine that workers can choose to earn part of their income from any type of cryptocurrency that exists in the financial market. “
It should be noted that the bill is currently only a draft, and the representatives of the Brazilian House of Representatives need to discuss and vote before they can begin deliberation.
