Cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex said that starting March 1, customers based in Ontario, Canada, will no longer be able to use any services. No reason was given for the move. Bitfinex said they should withdraw funds on or before March 1.

Starting today, the accounts of customers with no account balance will be closed. Those clients who do not open positions in the exchange’s peer-to-peer funding markets will lose access to those markets. And customers who do not have open margin positions will no longer have the opportunity to obtain margin or borrow.

As of now, the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) declined to comment on Bitfinex’s decision, while Bitfinex did not immediately respond to a request for additional details.
