According to an update published by the Binance Support Center today, Binance announced that it will phase out deposit addresses and memos that are still on the old infrastructure.
Binance said this is due to its continuous upgrade of its wallet infrastructure to provide users with better efficiency and security of funds.
Binance said that if a user’s deposit address and transaction flow are affected, the user will receive an email.
Users are therefore strongly advised to retrieve the new deposit address upon receipt of the email. After the user obtains a new deposit address or receives an email notification for 30 days, the old deposit address will become invalid.
It should be noted that the funds deposited to the expired address are safe and will not be lost.
However, future deposits made to expired addresses will not be automatically credited to the account. Users can manually deposit funds into their Spot Wallet using the “One click arrival” button on the transaction history page.
If you do not see this option, please submit a request through the Deposit Status Inquiry page.
