The Ethereum address accounts of Sigma Chain and Merit Peak, accused by the SEC of mixing funds into CZ-controlled entities, are still in use, and on Tuesday, the account received about $7 million in USDT and 299,999 USDT from two separate Binance.com accounts. UNI (worth about $1.3 million).
Hours later, all of these funds were sent to accounts on Binance.US, Etherscan transaction data shows.
Since its creation last August, the account has been used to transfer funds from Binance.com to Binance US, transferring approximately $1.4 billion to date.
Binance has not yet explained the activity, but in a Twitter space organized after the FTX crash last November, CZ admitted that he was a shareholder in a market maker serving Binance. Call this market maker unprofitable.
