On March 2nd, American country music singer Dolly Parton (Dolly Parton) is entering the metaverse. Parton announced that its “Dollyverse” will launch with the release of co-branded books, albums, NFTs, and live music at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
Bestselling author James Patterson co-authored the novel “Run, Rose, Run” with Patton, who wrote and produced the accompanying music album. Parton is working on “Dolly-inspired NFT artwork” as well as musical NFTs related to the new album, the announcement said.
Blockchain Creative Labs, part of FOX Entertainment, and blockchain company Eluvio are developing the Dollyverse. Dollyverse NFTs and live shows at SXSW will be based on Eluvio’s Content Fabric Proof of Authority (PoA) consensus blockchain. Parton’s NFTs are compatible with the Ethereum blockchain.
