After plummeting 17% in January, Bitcoin once again stood at the $45,000 mark on Tuesday, but as of writing, Bitcoin fell again, falling to $43,420.
Other cryptocurrencies were flat, with Ethereum down to $3,080, Dogecoin down 5% to $0.15, Shiba down 4.55% and The Sandbox edged up 1% to $4.66.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that it had seized $3.6 billion worth of bitcoin stolen from the 2016 hack of cryptocurrency exchange Bitfinex, and arrested two suspects on suspicion of money laundering. This is the highest-value financial-sector seizure in the history of the Justice Department.
