A phishing scammer who goes by the pseudonym Monkey Drainer stole 700 ETH in the past 24 hours, worth about $1.05 million.
According to on-chain detective ZachXBT, the phishing scammer stole nearly 35% of the loot in the past day from two victims, who lost assets worth around $370,000 in total.
One of the victims held more than $6.2 million worth of cryptocurrency but only lost $220,000 worth of assets, and other transaction requests were denied. Another victim lost several NFTs, including Boring Ape, and $36,000 in USDC, with a total value of about $150,000. In addition, according to ZachXBT estimates, Monkey Drainer has successfully scammed several times over the past few weeks, with a total revenue of around $3.5 million.
